This policy describes exactly what SyncGuard does with data. It claims nothing more.

What SyncGuard reads from Shopify

SyncGuard reads your Shopify orders through the Shopify Admin API. From each order it takes only:

• the order number
• the date the order was created
• the total amount
• the currency

SyncGuard deliberately requests no customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses.

What SyncGuard reads from your accounting system

SyncGuard reads invoices and sales receipts from the accounting system you connect to it.

What SyncGuard does with this data

SyncGuard compares your Shopify orders with the invoices and sales receipts in your accounting system. When a Shopify order has no matching accounting record, SyncGuard emails the merchant.

What SyncGuard stores

SyncGuard stores only what is needed to perform that comparison, and deletes anything older than 90 days.

What SyncGuard does not do

SyncGuard never writes to your accounting system.
